About BACIT

The Bulletin of Applied Computing and Information Technology (BACIT) is an editorially reviewed, free-acces online journal with a focus on new and emerging research related to applied computing and information technology. Published by the New Zealand National Advisory Committee for Computing Qualifications (NACCQ), its target audience includes academics, students and industry practitioners - based primarily (but not exclusively) in New Zealand, and working in the areas of computing, information technology and information systems.

BACIT welcomes submissions from established writers and researchers but particularly encourages contributions from new researchers and students, especially from those in postgraduate study who are also employed in the field.

The Bulletin is published in electronic format only, up to four times a year.

Submissions

BACIT accepts papers for publication that are directly related to the scope of the Bulletin and which might from time to time address special areas of interest that we highlight. Discussions on research in progress and emerging research will be considered.

Submissions should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words and submitted as a Microsoft Word document. The guidelines are provided in the attached document, which also doubles as a template (we strongly advise you to use this template as it will greatly assist the editors) .

  • Download a Microsoft Word Document Template (.dot) file (20K) Word Document Template
  • Articles for submission can be emailed as an attachment to the editors.
