Appendix B - Programming Modules | The usual flow of programming modules is as follows:
Core Modules
Either PD500(PD100) and PP400 (PP100)
Or PP490(new) and PP590 (new)
| | | |
Subsequent languages (First "real" language)
|
PP51n(PP11n) | Syntax of first "real" language (perhaps COBOL or C) |
PR50n(PR10n) or | Application of tools learnt in PP51n(PP11n) |
PR51n(PR11n) | PR51n(PR11n) is a smaller version of PR50n(PR10n). Providers can select the module that will best meet their students' learning hours. |
PR60n(PR20n) |
PR61n(PR21n) |
PR62n(PR22n) |
PR65n(PR25n) |
PR70n(PR30n) | Can be used as required to build on knowledge and skills in a particular language. |
| |
With regard to the content of each module, PR62n(PR22n) should not be taught before at least one of the other PR6xx(PR2xx) modules has been completed. PR70n(PR30n) assumes knowledge from at least one PR6xx(PR2xx) module. |
