Special Forum

In 2006 there will be a new strand introduced to the conference:

“IT Careers Forum”

to be held on Saturday 8th July 2006. It is intended to develop this as an annual event with a focus for those with a particular interest in the careers available in IT and preparing graduates for these careers. The Forum will enable those with an interest in IT careers to share experiences, research and information on industry trends.

The Forum will be of special interest to:

  • CIOs
  • IT Managers and other involved in employing staff
  • IT recruitment agencies
  • Researchers in the field of Computing Personnel
  • Computing educators at secondary and tertiary sectors
  • Computing researchers

A special invitation is extended for papers in the area of IT Careers including topics such as: Preparing graduates for careers in computing Changing nature of industry and skills required Internship arrangements Promoting industry links Bridging the gap from secondary computing to tertiary study
