Curriculum and Quality Working Group:

Aim statement:

  • To promote and support the development, delivery and quality of NACCQ computing and information technology modules and qualifications plus any local qualifications (including degrees and graduate diplomas).
  • To co-ordinate NACCQ input into the development and maintenance of unit standards and qualifications in the field of computing and information technology on the National Qualifications Framework and to support member institutions assessing such units.

Projects 2004 - 2005

  1. To develop the policies and processes required for the new arrangement of ITPNZ as NACCQ's Course (Programme) Owner.
  2. To implement a national degree moderation scheme.
  3. To distribute the accreditation and moderation action plan that enables NACCQ to meet quality assurance standards commensurate with its responsibilities to ITPNZ as the course owner of NACCQ programmes.
  4. To consider for approval new and updated modules within the Blue Book.
  5. To publish the 10th Edition of the Blue Book, both hardcopy and web versions by Nov 2004.
  6. To investigate the status of secondary/tertiary alignment of the ICT curriculum in terms of identifying/developing a pathway for students who wish to pursue a career in ICT.
