Introduction |
1 Introduction | 1.1 This publication contains details of the following three qualifications:
Certificate in Business Computing (CBC) (Equivalent NZQA Level 5 qualification)
Diploma in Business Computing (DipBC) (Equivalent NZQA Level 6 qualification)
National Diploma in Business Computing (NDBC) (Equivalent NZQA Level 7 qualification)
1.2 This publication also contains the regulations for the award of the Personal Computer Drivers Licence (PCDL) (Equivalent NZQA Level 4 qualification), which is a subset of the CBC.
1.3 A review has been carried out in accordance with Section 4.1 of this document, which requires a complete review of the contents of this document at least once every two years. The previous edition was introduced at the beginning of 1999. This edition is the result of a revision undertaken in 2000 (for introduction in 2001) with the following specific objectives:
> To incorporate new material to keep the contents abreast of the rapid developments in the New Zealand and international computing and information technology industry.
> To review the structure of the qualifications.
> To correct inconsistencies and errors.
