1  Communication Skills
> A simple communication process is used to identify interpersonal and intrapersonal communications
> Basic listening skills, such as hearing, attending, understanding and paraphrasing, are used to effectively comprehend the topic under discussion
> Correct telephone techniques are used to promote the internal and external image of the organisation
> Identify simple questioning techniques and how these should be applied in certain situations
> Practise giving and receiving verbal instructions

2  Nonverbal Communication
> Discuss the characteristics of nonverbal communication
> Identify common body signals
> Discuss how the receiverís and senders reactions may be influenced by the body signals and metalanguage of the other participant in predetermined business situations

3  Verbal Presentation
> Discuss simple approaches to preparing and making verbal reports
> Demonstrate the basic concepts of voice projection and modulation and metalanguage by addressing a small group on a prepared topic
