I'm not thinking of this for teaching purposes at present but want to get a bit more experience - I used Renderman at uni (a little!).
Has anyone used Blue Moon Rendering Tools for creating 3D graphics/animations?
If so I need help getting started.

I have used TrueSpace by Caligari for 3D model creation/animation and it works very well. There are dozens of websites of professional samples of work done in TS3 (available free) -current version is TS4. I could provide you a copy of TS3 and a tutorial for TS3 if you wanted to try it. (at cost of burning a CD)
