NACCQ Journal

Guidelines for Authors

The New Zealand Journal of Applied Computing and Information Technology (NZJACIT) is the journal of the National Advisory Committee on Computing Qualifications (NACCQ). Two issues are normally published each year, one in each semester. The aim of the journal is to publish articles which report applications, development and research in the area of Computing and Information Technology. Published articles will have content which relates to New Zealand, and/or author(s) with New Zealand affiliations (this would include visitors presenting papers in New Zealand). The journal will publish:

  • application articles
  • research and technical papers
  • issues and opinion pieces

Email your article to the editor: Clare Atkins - CAtkins@nmit.ac.nz

The format of the article should be as follows:

  • title
  • name of author(s)
  • abstract (75 to 200 words, which should be intelligible to general readers without recourse to the main text)
  • biographical details of author(s) (40 to 75 words each)
  • main body
  • references in the APA style (see the articles in the issue or ask the editor for guidance)
  • appendices (if any)

Articles will be refereed and the author(s) of an accepted article will be asked to supply the editor with a final version (which may include changes suggested by the referee) in electronic format (preferably a Microsoft Word document), either as an email attachment or on a 3.5” disk.
