It is my pleasure to introduce this issue of the New Zealand’s NACCQ Bulletin of Applied Computing and Information Technology, BACIT 7(1). The issue heralds in a new editorial team, and a new format for publication, though for this edition we are merging the past with the future process.

This paper investigates the nature of the major projects that have been undertaken by students in the Grad Dip eCommerce at CPIT. The investigation focuses on the nature of the projects that have been completed, the results of the different types of projects that have been completed, and the country of origin of the students who completed the projects .

Enterprise 2.0 (e2.0) is the use of social software technologies within the enterprise. This paper reviews e2.0 and elaborates on e2.0 adoption challenges. It then provides guidance on how the adoption challenges can be addressed using the Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) framework.

This paper reports on the activities of the Eighth BRACElet workshop held 4 July 2008 concurrent with the NACCQ Conference at AUT University. The BRACElet project is a longitudinal multi-institutional multinational investigation into the code reading, code comprehension and code writing skills of novice programmers.
