CPIT Update

Trevor Nesbit

CPIT have renamed their Bachelor of Business Computing
(BBComp) to Bachelor of Information and Communication
Technologies (BICT). Some reorganisation of the degree has
resulted in there now being 4 specialist streams:
    Programming
    Data Communications and Networking
    eCommerce
    Multimedia

A new half year level 4 Certificate in Information Technology
(CertIT) and a new one year level 5 Diploma in Information
Technology (DipIT) were also launched at the start of the year. Both
of these programmes are made up of modules from the NACCQ
Blue Book.

The DipIT is very much like CBC in that it includes 18 modules, but
differs in that it requires students to complete one of 3
specialisations:
    System Support
    Programming
    Web Technologies
